How To Celebrate Card Month | Easy Stationery
we continue to celebrate card and letter writing month
As the saying goes, a handwritten card or letter is always better than a text no matter the time of year it may be.
With that, we continue celebrating card and letter month right here. How are we celebrating this time? Well, just how a paper crafter would celebrate anything, by making. Today we are making super easy stationery with all things, you guessed it, traditional scrapbook papers.
This is an easy and fun way to use up your 6×6 papers. Or trim down 6×8 papers like I will show you here. Or even if you have 6×6 scraps from larger pattern paper. Anyway you cut it, cute stationery is just on the horizon.
For this very easy and simple way to make a little pattern paper stationery I am using the 6×8 Sun Chaser Paper Pad. The smaller patterns found in this paper pad are perfect for smaller makes like cards and envelopes.
I will trim two pieces to 6×6 inches each.
After the papers are 6×6, then I will be scoring at 2 1/2 inches, leaving 3 1/2 inch centers that will be coming together in the middle.
At this point, go ahead and adhere together the 3 1/2 inch middles just as shown above.
Then, on the inside, create a long pocket by adding 1/8 inch double sided adhesive at the top then the bottom of the pattern paper. The letter then can slip right inside that little pocket.
After the pocket is crafted, then embellish the front as little or as much as you would like. This can slip into a larger envelope to be mailed. Or if you layer it all up, hand delivered works too.
Just one way to use Sun Chaser to celebrate this month of cards and letter writing. Create cute spaces for your letters. And tell someone how much you love them. After all, “to write is human, to receive a letter: divine”. (S Lendroth)
