How to Create a Fun Interactive Holiday Card

I am always up for a good celebration and especially when it comes to paper crafting!

That being said, I am very excited to share a very fun interactive holiday card in honour of our Heidi Holiday Card Making Event we have been celebrating this week. Make sure to pin the above picture so that you can find this tutorial easily when you go to make your cards!

By ‘interactive’, I created this ‘tag’ card with openable pockets and envelopes I thought would be fun to fill with whatever your heart desires.  Think goodies, gift cards, family photos…really anything!

To create this card you will need the following supplies:

Winter Wonderland 12×12 Paper Pad

Winter Wonderland Ephemera

Winter Wonderland Stamp & Die Set

Winter Wonderland Washi Tape Set

Winter Wonderland 6×12 Card Stock Stickers

Winter Wonderland Boxed Cards

String or Yarn

Mini Star Punch

Adhesive

Vellum

Tag/Envelope Punch Board or Electronic Die Cutter to create vellum envelopes and pocket/tag.

Watch my video below to learn how easy it is to create this unique holiday card.

I loved using the tags from the cut apart patterned paper.  Adhering them back to back was a great way to incorporate all the tags and to add in more color and pattern to my card as it made them double sided.

Creating a vellum pocket and then filling it with ephemera and punch outs adds a cute and fun playfulness to this card.

This tag that I embossed and tucked into this envelope is a great way to add a hidden message, photo, gift card or even a packet of holiday tea possibly!  Surprises are always the best.

I love how the card from the boxed set looks tucked into this vellum pocket.  Soft, yet beautiful and a great way to incorporate a regular card for a longer message and/or greeting.  Adding on the washi tape at the bottom and the die cut deer silhouette was super easy to do, yet looks so pretty!
