How to Find Happiness in Your Planner

Keeping up with your Memory Planner can be hard. I totally get that. But the other side of having one’s planner caught up with all the photos and words and thoughts is happiness.

I call it earned happiness. I have to do something to have something. And even in this world of paper crafting and making pretty stuff, even here that is important. Feeling good and happy about having a planner and all the memories caught up. It’s a good want to have in place.

Have you ever thought about that before? Asking yourself: do I want to feel that bad feeling of being behind? or do I want that feeling of a memory planner caught up and smiling at me?

Don’t get me wrong. I am not making an attempt at more shame. It’s just questions I ask my own self. So maybe you are asking them of yourself as well.

I prefer the smiling memory planner, myself.

One thing I do to keep the mojo in play is to freshen up my planner with what I already love: paper.

So lately I have taken to adding more details to these pages by way of layers and most especially pockets.

Let’s just call it more creative play. Not worrying about rules. And simply enjoying the process.

Layers of paper pockets.
The best of all the worlds, am I right?

But who am I kidding? Any chance to play with tools and paper and seeing what I can make of it is always fun and rewarding and tangible.

The thing about the Pocket Punch Board, as is with all the WRMK Punch Boards, is that differing sizes of paper preferences can be crafted. And of course this aids in holding all the needed things to be held, as well as gives interest and layers to these memory planner page spreads. And I like that.

This page here above holds a larger pocket. In the larger pocket are additional photos. And words. And easily I can pull those items out and view what is inside. I adore the interactive-ness of this page.

Then…there is the bottom right had side pocket layered in another direction. This held some hidden journaling that I knew I wanted on these pages, but not necessarily out in the open. Know what I mean?

Adding in these layered pockets not only gives additional real estate to these memory pages, but also it gives these pages a fresh vibe. A bit of an amp up. And sometimes that is all we need to keep the creating and memory keeping going.
