How to Foil Minc Foam Stickers
When Heidi announced the new Iridescent Minc foil this past January I couldn’t wait to play. I just adore the different colors that play against the light. I also couldn’t wait to try out the new Minc Foam Word stickers in the Hawthorne collection. I love that I can customize them to any color foil I want to suit my project.
Today I am going to share a quick “How To” Video and a layout I created using the Hawthorne collection and the Foam stickers and the irresistible Iridescent foil.
Don’t you just love the multifaceted colors in that foil.
I started off my base using the Nightfall and Nowhere pattern papers from the Hawthorne collection. I then added my photos above the large Number image on the Nowhere pattern paper.
Once I foiled my Foam sticker I layered it over my photo. The important thing to remember when running the stickers through the Minc machine is that it needs to be on setting 0, no heat because the stickers already are sticky the Minc is just adding pressure to adhere the foil to the stickers. I love how the over lapping brings cohesion to the layout.
I then stamped using some of the Clear Date stamps above the photos in brown ink. I love how it helps tell more of the story. I foiled more of the Hawthorne Jumble stickers in the Iridescent foil and layered them in and around my photo.
I added some of the ephemera pieces from the Hawthorne collection and then some strip journaling to complete my layout.
Watch my video below to see how easy it is to foil the Foam stickers.
