Color Shine! That’s a term we have not heard on this blog in a while. But guess what? Color Shine still lives. You can find it at JoAnn Stores.

Do you have Color Shine in your stash? Do you need to grab some? For this National Craft Month post I grabbed some March spring colors: Citron, Mint Green, Navy and Seafoam, and just played. Yes! That’s how to let your creativity shine. Just play. Play with color. Play with stamps. Play with paper. Celebrate all the craftiness in your heart and mind and hands and play.

That’s just what I did for these tags here. I sprayed colors of the above green and blue palette on a craft mat. Added some sprays of water, then dipped these tags (I used Vicki Boutin Foundation Art Paper) into the color, and let them dry. No agenda. Just watched to see what would come of all that beautiful color and shine. Wow, I have missed Color Shine! It’s just the best medium with which to dive into some creative play.

Then…I grabbed all the Heidi Swapp Stamps I could find that are available at JoAnn Stores. I made stamped collages in black ink on these Color Shine tags. Some are more detailed than others. But all have encouraging words and sentiments on them. I even tucked in a photo that was looking for a home amongst the tags. A few Art Walk stickers rounded out this little creative play session.

I took all the tags and some Art Walk PostCards plus other this and thats and tucked them into this little folio I made from Art Walk Paper. Playing and creative exercise are important. You discover new ideas. You create little art pieces to collect for yourself or to give away. And you celebrate the activity that is crafting.

And that is just one way to let your creativity shine this month or any month.

You can find Heidi Swapp Color Shine at JoAnn Stores.
