How to Light Up Your Fall Door
Annnnnd….it’s that time of year again. The weather is changing. The evenings are cooler. The trees are hinting that they are just about ready to shed it all. And that’s what we call fall. Fall is for sure in the air here in the Rockies. And while I am to the bone a summer girl through and through, the fall brings with it a freshness even in the midst of everything readying itself for a winter’s sleep.
Fall is the time of year I really start to get my festive decor on. The new Heidi Swapp Marquee Love Pumpkin Light Banner, that is now showing up at Michael’s Stores, is going to come in handy to light up my door these autumnal evenings.
For this super simple front door decor I am using a wooded wreath, a few faux fall leaves, and of course, the Pumpkin Banner Kit.
Using wire, I secured the Pumpkin Banner to the wreath making sure the cutie pumpkin faces were facing forward as much as I could. Then I tucked a few leaves here and there around the wreath. There was no real pattern to this. Sort of random which seemed to work.
Once I had enough leaves in place, I secured the extra light strand to the back of the wreath. When it’s lit at night those lights will add a soft hue against the door while the pumpkin eyes will light the night.
This little tutorial comes with a hope that you find time to slow down a little this fall and savor the season. Bring out those stowed away wreaths, add a fun Pumpkin Light Banner, and enjoy.
