With the change of the seasons come other changes. The starting of a new school year means children are growing up. No matter how much my mama-heart wants to deny it, summer is over and my kids are now another year older. This summer was a good one. Was it a good one for you?
It is at these times I really want to treasure these summer memories. Maybe you know what I mean. Not only does the end of summer mean sleeping in will cease to exist. So, will blue skies and warmer days. We did not take it for granted this year. We made every day count.
That doesn’t mean we filled our days with activities or day trips. We took time to be with each other. To sleep in. Stay up late. To take walks and spontaneous outings with extended family. It was the feeling that summer should give you – time to just BE.
More than ever I am making sure I document these kind of moments so that I don’t forget them. To do that I am using the simple Heidi Swapp Storyline Album. All the albums come with the base pages that you can build your story and layout on.
I used the Deck of Days sticker kit to decorate my page with a “playful” vibe. I also added some of Heidi Swapp’s Foam Stickers to the page.
These are so much fun! You stick them on the page, pull off the top sticker layer, and place Heidi Swapp MINC Reactive Foil to the top. Just pull the foil off and the sticker is foiled! No need to use the Foil Applicator machine to get this look!
I hope that you are inspired to document your summer memories before they are lost with the change in seasons! You can find all the supplies to create this layout at your local Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft store!
