How Would You Use Heidi Swapp Care Free First?
Heidi Swapp Care Free Paper Line is in the house
The anticipated Care Free Collection has hit my porch. And is now scattered all over my work table.
This collection is a complete work of beautiful muted hues, fantastic embellishments, and a celebratory and upbeat vibe. Which is my favorite part. I love a collection that entices me with words and phrases that prompt me to tell stories. Small stories. Big stories. Even one photo stories. More on that in a moment.
Instead of unpacking Care Free by myself, I recorded a video while opening all the products that I have so far. This was a really fun exercise in discovering the wonderful hidden treasures in this collection. Plus, you the viewer get to experience my pure joy as I unpacked all the elements and talked about each one. Oh…and there may be a blooper or two included. You don’t want to miss that.
You can find that unboxing video HERE.
After the video reveal, I immediately went to work crafting a mini card tag card thing. LOL! I don’t even know what to call it!
The first above image is the cover of this card tag card. I took acetate and painted the edges just a bit. A piece of cardstock ephemera was placed front and center and served as my title for this tiny project. This tiny project is a one-photo project. So fun.
On the back of the clear acetate cover, seen in this above image, I trimmed pattern paper, rounded the corners, distressed the edges, and added the Having Fun from the Cardstock Stickers. This embellishment now covers the back of the front embellishment. Are you following this?
The next tag in this mini tag card is vellum. You know. Because vellum and me go together like spring and flowers. To this vellum tag I stapled the Remember tab that is from the Ephemera Pack. The stickers come from both the Cardstock Stickers as well as the Sticker Book. I like word stickers placed in a group of threes. Good use of design concept there.
The very back and last card is heavy chipboard. I covered the chipboard with the Sunny Skies pattern paper. Then I crafted a pocket to the front of the tag. Having printed a 3×4 photo of me and my kid, he’s the one that is all the very nice words I can think of, I tucked that into the pocket.
But wait, before tucking the photo back into the pocket, I added a flip note to the back of the photo. A Remember sticker from the Cardstock Sticker was added to that journal spot. Using the Block Alpha Stamps I also added a word. Now I have a journaling prompt for our photo.
Hope this inspires an idea for using and showing off all things Care Free. I promise that you will love each and every aspect of this beautiful collection. Tag me up on Instagram (@jamiepate) and share with me what you are making.
