I Heart My Storyline Chapters Scrapbook
If there is one thing that is important to me is telling my family’s stories. That is why I take the time each week to record in my planner, my scrapbooks and now in my Storyline Chapters scrapbooker inserts the big and small stories of our lives. As I scroll through my camera roll on my phone I am quite often amazed at all the stories that are hidden there. Imagine if those stories were left untold. In time the memory will fade and the story will be lost forever. This is why I print my photos and get those stories told.
The new Storyline Chapters collection that can be found at JOANN stores is such an easy, fun and effective way to tell your stories. In this insert I am sharing those middle stories….the stories that need more than a couple of lines in my Memory Planner but not big enough for a 12 x 12 layout. You know the ones!
Today I am sharing a story of a recent date night with my husband. I wanted to create a fun interactive element to my insert so I added in this heart shaped page with my journaling hidden underneath. Let me share how easy it was to create.
I began by hand drawing and cutting two half hearts from two contrasting pattern papers from the 12 x 12 Project Pad. I then adhered the left side heart directly to the page along side the center of the insert.
I then layered on one of the vellum envelopes and some stickers from the Storyline Chapters collection. I added my title using on of the Puffy Stickers from the Color Fresh collection.
Next I used a bone folder to score about an 8th of an inch form the straight side of the right heart and then adhered the scored part to the center of the insert on top of my ledger paper pattern paper (see notes further down the page). This allows for the heart to be interactive. I added my photo and embellished it simply with some washi and ephemera from the Storyline Chapters collection.
I took one of the Storyline Chapters tags and added some stamping using the Clear Stamp set all over the tag. I then used my bone scorer again to score a line and added it into my booklet as shown.
I covered the back of the heart and the tag with some coordinating pattern paper.
I added in my previously typed journaling on one of the pattern papers that has a ledger paper design. I had traced the heart with lead pencil onto the ledger pattern paper to give me the shape of the heart and then ran it through my type writer and then adhered it to my page.
I completed my page with some of the stickers and washi tape from the collection. I love the way it turned out.
I love that this story is now safely stored in my Storyline Chapters insert forever. I love that I got to play and have fun and most of all I love that my love for memory keeping continues to grow and be inspired by this new collection. Don’t forget you can find this new Storyline Chapters collection at a JOANN store near you.
