Instax Vintage | Mini Flip Album
Hello everyone and happy Friday!
If you are looking for some weekend crafty inspiration I hope this post today will do just the trick.
I want to share a fun ( and VERY simple) photo project I completed recently using the Heidi Swapp Instax Vintage Mini Albums to document some of my favourite photos from this fall. You have probably seen these albums while strolling the aisles of Michael’s Stores (you will only find them there, as they are exclusive) and perhaps wondered to yourself how you would use them if you do not own an Instax camera or printer. Well, today I want to share with you just how easy it is to get that Instax look and feel using just regular photos.
To pull this project together you will need the following:
20 printed photos (trimmed approx. to size 2 7/8 inches wide x 3 3/8 inches tall) OR use an Instax Filler Card as a trim guide
20 Vintage Instax Filler Cards
10 Vintage Instax Frames (which are included in a set of filler cards)
1 Instax Mini Album
(Optional: Pen or Typecast for Journaling)
Once you have all your supplies assembled and chosen, simply fill in the album pockets as you wish! These albums have 40 pockets so there is a ton of room to put more (or less) of photos and/or cards as you desire. It is really up to you. I wanted to keep this project something I could easily complete in under an hour so 20 photos is what I went to work with.
I love the entire look of how this album came together despite not using actual “instax” photos!
To journal in my album I used my We R Memory Keepers Typecast. I absolutely LOVE this tool and it is probably the most used right now in my studio.
I filmed a short little video so you can see an entire walk through of my mini album.
I hope this simple project has you inspired to print some of your own photos this weekend and get them into a super cute album! Be sure to check out your local Michael’s Stores to see this entire Instax Vintage collection first hand, it is a good one! Happiest weekend friends.
