Interactive Journaling with Heidi Swapp Care Free Collection
Hello everyone I am thrilled to be back on the blog today. I am here to switch things up a bit with a new size, well a new size for me a 6×8 double layout. I am feeling the need for some new and interesting ways to celebrate my stories and the 6×8 I think will become a favorite. I added an extra layer of interest by adding an interactive journaling pocket on the outside of my plastic sleeve. I loved using the Carefree collection to help tell my story.
As you can see I have two pages, one a full size photo and the other a pocket page. I trimmed a 6×12 plastic pocket to 8 inches hight to create my 6×8 pocket.
On my photo I added stickers directly onto my photo from the Carefree Project pad.
Next I trimmed an piece of pattern paper from the project pad to slip into my pocket. I then trimmed a pocket page so I had a 3×4 pocket. I adhered that to the front of my 6×8 plastic sleeve with double sided tape.
I then used one of the cut apart sheets from the Carefree project pad to create my journaling.
I added a couple more pieces from the cut apart sheet to create some tags and tied them to my journaling. Now I can slip my journaling in and out of the 3×4 pocket with ease. As you can see I also added a peice of 3×4 pattern paper into the pocket to hide the adhesive that adheres the 3×4 pocket to the 6×8 plastic sleeve.
I know I am going to be using this technique again. You can find the Carefree collection at JoAnn stores now.
