It’s a Care Free Baby Party
How to throw a party with Care Free touches
Just about a year ago I was throwing my daughter her wedding shower.
This year, new calendar and new adventure: a baby.
Welcome to this Care Free Baby Party post where I am eager to share with you a few ways I was able to take the beautiful and adventurous Care Free Collection from Heidi Swapp and create baby party touches.
First on my list to make was a guest book. This is not just any guest book. It’s baby album slash documenting slash first year of baby photos all wrapped into one book. This chipboard covered 6×8 book was then bound using the We R Memory Keepers Mini Cinch. That most perfect little binding tool that sits right on one’s craft table.
There are a whole lot of details to this DIY guest book on my blog which you can find right HERE.
You’ve seen these cake banners everywhere…
To make this one was as simple as using the Care Free Alpha Stamps, stamping the letters on a piece of Care Free pattern paper, then snipping each letter. The notch on the bottom edge made for banner perfectness. We just used wood skewers to then place on the cake. That cake was a star of the party, that’s for sure.
This next idea is a real easy way to make use of one’s scraps of paper. Wanting to hang a few of the maternity photo shoot images on this tree, I made little tag toppers from Care Free patterns. Then, using the We R Memory Keepers Reinforce Punch I added the hole to the top. Pulled some ribbon through the reinforced hole, then hung on the tree. I think it was fun for guests to see these additional photos from a few months ago.
Well what party is a party without a banner? Again, We R Memory Keepers and the Banner Punch Board came to the rescue taking these Care Free patterns to make an easy (and carefree) banner. I used the main colors from our party’s theme. I kept it pretty simple. But trust me, I could have made banners for days.
And then what’s a party without party games? It’s the party activity everyone loves to hate. The truth be told though, I think the women at our party actually loved all the games. Even the Don’t Say Baby. I used that sky and cloud paper for the backdrop of this game instruction. It also made for a pretty table center piece. Everyone was sure to check out the details and play along.
Another way I pulled in Care Free to this baby party was taking advantage of the lovely tags that are part of the Care Free Collection. A couple of tags were chosen that I thought perfect to decorate the day. Then I made little tent cards to adhere the tag to so it would stand up on a shelf or table top. It was a little detail, but I like how these tags filled in little spaces on this focal point table.
And that is how you have a Care Free Baby Party. Just a few ideas anyway. Because with paper and your imagination, the ideas are endless.
I hope this inspired you to some ideas for taking your paper stash and creating details to any type party. It’s just one was we can tell our story too by way of crafting from our heart beautiful things.
