It’s Mail Day with Care Free

You’ve Got Mail

Don’t you love those words? Most especially when it’s not a bill or an advertisement for the hair cutters?

I’m just saying, we all still love mail so much. But what about mail with pockets and tags and spaces to hold stuff?

This is what we call flat mail. It’s mostly mail we send to other paper crafters. It’s a beautiful way to share our love for papery things. To stuff the pockets with our favorite way to make up tags and project cards. It’s also a smart way to use up scraps. But I digress. That’s for another post at another time.

Here today I am sharing my most recent flat mail creation.

This little foilio of sorts was crafted from one sheet of paper. Most specifically the Care Free 6×8 Paper Pad. I just cut out little pockets, more like folders, to hold some project cards and tags and fussy cut elements.

On this side of the flat mail I stapled a project card to another tag of paper. I made a tag from other pattern paper. And the heart? It was literally cut out from another project and was part of the scraps from the Care Free collection. Save those scraps my friends. This little heart can now hold a note to the recipient. Or it could be stamped and embellished to your hearts content. See what I did there?

Then on this other side…

I had a whole bunch of scraps of paper just about 3×4 size. I then wrapped them with a smaller scrap of paper, added a sticker and sewed it all together. I thought the ‘share’ definition was perfect for this sort of make. You know…because sharing is caring.

Then, folding the flat mail all up I embellished the front with other scraps of paper plus some die cuts that includes a butterfly cut from white glitter paper (you can find that in the Care Free Project Paper Pad).

I hope this idea sparks some inspiration for you to make and send some flat mail. We crafters love all the little papery things. Make someone’s day and send Care Free mail…or any other collection you choose to make with.
