Journal Studio | Unboxing and Walk Through of My Thankful Journal
November is my birthday month, the 21st to be exact, and I wanted to create a journal to celebrate the things to be thankful for! I decided what better way to get started than with the new American Crafts and Heidi Swapp collaboration – Journal Studio! I love the collection so much I wanted to share an unboxing video with you and my completed journal all in one video! My favorite journal cover is definitely this gorgeous ‘Give it all you got” stunner! I just adore it! I love the quote and the soft pink paten leather cover, its perfect.
Let me share my unboxing video and full walk through of my Journal with you …
I have also chosen a few of my favorite pages to share here!
As mentioned in the video I used the ‘Think Happy” insert as a basis for my album.
I love using full size photos to make an impact on my pages. Here I used a couple of pieces from the Ephemera pack to embellish the left hand side, I also added some stamping using stamps from my stash and those cute puffy stickers also form the Journal Studio collection.
More tags from the Ephemera pack embellish this page.
I stretched this photo over the double page and added stickers from the large sticker book to embellish the page.
Here I used pattern paper from the Emerson lane collection to cover the right side of the page. I added that floral washi from the Journal Studio collection down the centre of the pages.
I love using sentence strips to add my journaling. One of my favorite pieces from the Journal Studio collection is actually the Mini paper trimmer from We R Memory Keepers. It is cute and compact and perfect for the Journal Studio collection.
I dug into my stash with this gorgeous pattern paper from the Pineapple Crush collection to cover the right side page.
On this page I used one of Heidi’s handwritten words that I cut with my Cameo. I used some Navy Color Shine on the word before adhering it to my page.
Another word, this time I spread across the two pages for a cohesive look.
and this time I used Salmon Color Shine and then adhered it over my large black and white photo for big impact!
Day 21 finished off my journal. pink and mustard elements from the Journal Studio collection combine to make a pretty page.
I love that I have a whole journal filled with things I am thankful for. It truly makes the heart full when you break it down one day at a time and see the big and small things that make a difference in our lives.
You can find the words to create your own cut files right here
