just for fun

just for fun

well, this is what i did last night… i just wanted to scrapbook.
i do like it… i messed around with it for a long time it seems like. usually i am so decisive, and i just basically ‘glue and go’… but i kept looking at it, and feeling like there was something missing, and not really sure what!! i think it’s cause i haven’t done a double page spread in a long time… but i think that above all other sizes, 8 1/2 x 11 is the most satisfying to me… i like 9×9… they go fast… but the rectangle shape of each page i like… i didn’t take as many photos of baseball as i should have! (bad mom!) but i love this! i think it captures it! i need to do one of colton too! i used the sports chipboard theme…corners, chipboard stars… tape… fun stuff! i really like to scrapbook! it makes me happy.

That is such a great thing to read from someone like you. It’s your job and still you get the same enjoyment from it as the rest of us. Great layout 🙂

    Incredible Heidi,
Isn’t it fun to just scrap for fun and not have all that pressure, deadlines etc.
I have to do this more and not focus on so much of my DT stuff.
    Great layout.

I loved seeing this layout, especially as a double page spread. I usually take alot of pictures and like to include way more than one or two on a page. So…this layout makes me happy too! Also didn’t mind hearing that you spent a little more time getting this one the way you wanted. LOL Your kids are every bit as good looking as their parents (I met you and Eric on the cruise in March). Enjoy the incredible gift of talent God has given you! 🙂

Totally cool. Glad you had a “just for fun” moment…I think those refresh us.
I am looking forward to this weekend too. We are having a wonderful retreat at our lss — ScrapIt! and I have planned nothing but “just for fun” projects…I am not sure that I will know what to do with myself…but I am going to take some inspiration from your page and your freedom. Thanks for sharing. Blessings on your day and weekend.

Great page. Love the journaling. And just remember what Cathy talked about at the scrap etc. event. You cannot feel like a bad mom. You documented. You journaled. You rock. No worries. 🙂

Oh my gosh Heidi… I just did an 8.5 x 11 sports page of my best friend’s son! I used the same orange tape and your chipboard arrows and photo corners. Only used 3 photos, and it’s very simple, but I too am loving the size. It seems to be all I’m doing lately. You are so on my wavelength!!

add some more of your FABULOUS handwriting! i mean, i am a new fan and just read your handwriting book, so i have to say that! you are AMAZING and i love that even YOU think ‘something is missing,’ because you are the best there is and you even get that feeling sometimes…anyway my advice is to write the lyrics to ‘take me out to the ballgame’ around the edges in your signature FAB-O heidi swapp handwriting…but what do i know…you rock 🙂

Sorry, I just have to add that your pics gave me the feeling of “don’t you just want to run over there and give that little catcher a big squeeze?” Sunday was the anniversary of my middle son’s death. It hurts, I miss him and I wish I had more pictures like this to treasure. Never take what you have for granted. Enjoy the kids–they are all blessings from God. Whatever you thought was missing from the LO…you must have found it…LOVE, that’s what I see. You did it!!Again!
