Keeping It Simple | Instax
Even though it’s been officially spring for a few weeks now, it just this past week got warm enough in the Midwest to spend any real time outside…
Each year…long about this time…I get an itch to start changing up the decor in my home. The longer days & open windows make me wish for something fresh & new. And, because I spend so much time in our kitchen, that is the room that usually gets attention first. This weekend I decided to take down the boxwood wreath I had hanging on our chalkboard wall & I replaced it with a quick (and EASY!) spring project.
I started by grabbing the brand new Instax Canvas Pin Board & one of the smaller clipboards from Heidi’s Gallery Wall Collection.
*All Instax & Gallery Wall products are available exclusively at Michaels Stores*
Then I grabbed my Fuji Instax Mini8 & a package of brand new gold Instax stickers…
…and my new Instax Camera Filters…I KNOW! They are so cool, right?! You just pop one on to the front of your camera and watch how it changes your photos!
Here’s what the same photo looks like taken with each of the filters. It’s so cool how you can get a totally different vibe just by changing the filter!
OK…back to my project. I clipped the Pin Board to the Clipboard, and added a few stickers…and guess what…
I WAS DONE!
Seriously…you don’t have to go crazy with embellishing to get a fantastic project. Especially when you are starting with items that stand alone perfectly beautifully…and the best part? The stickers aren’t permanent, I can just take them down when summer rolls around – easy peasy!
I hung the clipboard/pin board/sticker combo with a length of baker’s twine from a Command hook that stays put at the top of the wall all year round…
…and then I simply pinned my favorite photo of the bunch to the board with one of the included gold heart pushpins. I think this is the perfect place to add a few of my favorite spring photos. And it’s the perfect place to put it…right in the space I spend the most time in.
