Letterboard | Fourth of July
Psst…hey…I got a secret…
I love to create.
I love to be creative and add original and personal touches to my home. It is always stirring within me to do this.
Always finding excuses to make stuff and to make pretty stuff.
Like…for the next American holiday: July 4th. Yet another excuse, I mean reason, to pull together pretty stuff and style up my space for the occasion.
July 4th is indeed quickly among us. That means it’s time to change up the entrance of our home to celebrate our nations birthday. Not that I really need an excuse. But I really do love these summer time holidays to keep it festive right inside my home.
Letterboard is center stage and a perfect home to the seasonal sentiment: Happy Birthday, America!
Even though the sentiment is smallish, I chose the extra large Letterboard for this occasion. I simply wanted to make a big statement.
Next I went with the largest black alpha, the 2-inch Sans Serif. This font is sort of like a Bebas font. I like it’s classic shape up against the vintage feel of the vignette.
Adding to the festive mood, I included layers of banners to hang over the board. It just feels Americana, doesn’t it? The kraft banners are from the Magnolia Jane Collection. These kraft colored tags come printed with heat reactive toner and all I had to do was foil them with red foil through the Minc Machine. This was a quick and simple way to add a touch of glam to my display.
It’s easy to create impact with the extra large Letterboard and celebrate with a decorative vignette. Filling that creative need to add our own touches to holiday decor is real. All ya need is to grab a Letterboard, your favorite Letterboard Alphas, and decorate your space for this or any holiday celebration.
