Lightbox Goes to the Bridal Shower
Styling my daughter’s bridal shower with Lightbox greetings
The thing about the Heidi Swapp Lighbox: it can show up to any event in any style and still fit in perfectly. Even on this very distressed, old, wood ladder. I styled this relic for my daughters’ bridal shower. Using what I have (literally), adding in baby’s breath and greenery, this will make for a great focus point for the party.
The Mega Pack Hand Lettered alphabet for the Lightbox might be my favorite letters to use. There are about 100 letters in the pack of black alphas. Each letter is a slightly different style. Like someone actually hand lettered them each. I love this look against the shabby of the ladder and the pretty of the eclectic florals.
I have to admit, this is a Pinterest inspiration. Sometimes you just need to see an idea and then go with it. I started, obviously, with the ladder. Then I placed the Lightbox on a rung a little higher than center. While the floral touches are a local market find, the rest was literally pulled from various places in the house. Use what you have, is a strong motto with this one. It’s a perfectly imperfect way to style the Lightbox.
The slat board was also literally stashed away in my cabinet of decorator things. But it was blank. For this part of the decoration I cut Heidi’s Better Together from her Valentine Digital Bundle out of white cardstock on my digital die cutting machine. Using foam double sided tape I popped the words up on the black distressed board. Super simple. And lucky me, this just so happens to be their wedding theme.
Use what you have. But always invite the Lightbox to your gathering. It’s just another way to make pretty stuff for your home and life. And bridal shower.
