Looking Forward and Looking Back in my Memory Planner
I love a fresh start! Don’t you? Happy 2019 and welcome to a brand new year of memory keeping on Heidi’s blog. Today I am sharing a look at how I have set up my new Memory Planner for 2019, but also taking a trip down memory lane with a video walk through of my completed 2018 Memory Planner. It’s thick and delicious and full of my family’s memories.
I also want to share a fun new and FREE printable I created as the perfect way to start 2019. Look for it later in my post.
This year I have decided to go with Heidi’s Classic Planner – Do your thing! I just couldn’t go past the hot pink shiny cover. It is filled with fun vibrant prints which is perfect for me!
As I mentioned above I decided to make a printable to place at the start of my planner. Since the vibe inside the planner has a 70’s feel I used that fun font plus Heidi’s handwriting to create my printable. I chose colors from inside the planner to guide my own color choices when designing it! and best of all you can download the printable to add it into your planner too!
You can find the planner printable HERE!
I love the way it looks inside my planner. It really pops against the gold rings on the left. Let me share how easy it was to pop it into my planner.
I printed it onto photo paper for a glossy look and then trimmed around the border. I then used the brand new Color Fresh 6 hole punch to punch my holes.
I added one of the tabs from the collection to the side of my printable using the Mini stapler. Also brand new to the collection.
Next I chose some of the Color Fresh reinforcers to coordinate with the colors.
Finally I popped it into my planner! I just love the bright pops of colors. It really makes me happy!
For January I added some intentions on the dashboard page. I added some of the washi tape also apart of the Color Fresh collection for some pops of color.
And I set up week 1 with some of the stickers and washi from the Color Fresh Alpha booklet and sticker booklet. Now I’m all set for the new year.
I keep my planner upstairs in my scrap studio but sometimes I like to use it does stairs so I can be with my family. I house all my planner goodies in this pretty mint wire basket. Inside the glass case I have my ink, adhesive and other small tools. I also have my We R Memory Keepers Mini paper cutter on hand for when I need to trim out my photos.
In another basket I have a couple of my portable printers, my canon Selphy, Instax printer and the Prynt printer. I love to mix and match the photo styles in my planner.
When I need to head down stairs I just pop my planner into the basket and take the basket with me. Easy !
Now I mentioned I was going to recap my planner from 2018. Here it is in all it’s glory, filled to over flowing with all my family’s stories. Watch my video below to see a full walk through of my planner!
I hope I have inspired you to start your Memory Planner for 2019! It really is worth it, saving all your stories in the one beautiful place!
