LOVE-ing-it
WOW…
I have been overwhelmed with the support, encouragement and congrats that I have rec’d! I can’t thank you enough!! Believe me… I appreciate the good vibes coming my way!!!
I have to admit to being totally stressed out, to the point of GROUCH. I really need to apologize to everyone that has to be around me… especially Emily… sorry!!! It’s the stress/tired/nervous/worried/PREGO/too much to do, too little time etc. etc. etc.
It’s DEEP BREATH time…
It’s ESCAPE time… without fail, when I feel totally backed up against the wall, I have to do something that is completely un-necessary… and I am talking un-necessary to the point that it’s ridiculous that I am wasting my time on something so un-helpful to my current totally-and-completely-behind situation…
i was at recollections a few weeks ago, and picked up these basic paper letters. I am sure you have seen them… I think Michaels and even wal-mart carries them… I bought the word “LOVE” anticipating the season! So they have been sitting patiently on the floor inside my closet since I got them. I decided to play this afternoon. I even resorted to watching one of my all time favorite movies: “you’ve got mail”. I am TOTALLy addicted to TIM’s Distress Inks…seriously…how cool is Distress… if you don’t know how to use it- find out. I may even feel the need to do a tutorial on my blog about how to use it, because I had NO IDEA how cool it was until I had the personal one-on-one instruction with the master (tim).
This was fun. The “L” is frances meyer paper, and the “V” is 7gypsies.
It’s so important to play. To relax. And do something that is not required. I should have been finishing my dark load…giving the boys time tests and working on my BPS class…
i’ll get to it. i feel relaxed a bit. happy.
It’s been a very exciting week for eric. He has been working for months on a ‘vision’ of his own… for a couple of years, he and his partner have been building an import company for building supplies… particularly iron doors. Several months ago, his attention and passion settled on iron GARAGE doors. This is a photo of one of their very first garage doors installed. They are stunning. I can’t wait to get mine! It’s such a thrill to see it become a reality! So much work… congrats babe.
And FINALLY… the Creative Escape website is updated with the new info, new teachers and price! Remember registration is Feb. 3rd. It’s going to be an amazing event. AGAIN. We have some freaky-cool surprises planned! (I love surprises!)
Well, I am going to go throw in some darks.

26 January, 2007 at 10:09 amI am glad things are finally falling into place and am so happy that you took the time for you and the unnecessary things that make a day so much better. More people should find the time to do the frivilous more often.
As for the tutorial – YES PLEASE! I love THs Distress Inks but have only ever used them to rub against my paper to create the distressed look. I would absolutely love being challenged and inspired to do more .. and add to it his wonderful new embossing powders – – whoooo-eeeee! Exciting!

The letters are great, I would love to do some like that but we don’t get many things like that in the craft stores in the UK. Those garage doors are beautiful, well done Eric! Make sure you make more time to chill and kick back, especially in your condition! Take care. Katrina, UK

27 January, 2007 at 2:07 amLetters are wonderful. Hugs are good for the “grouchies”. Gorgeous Doors–Congrats to Eric. We will have to remember about these doors when we custom build our dream home. Husband wants to retire here so we have the land. Now if he would just get old enough to retire really, really fast. Hope you’re still in biz 10 yrs from now. I was disappointed Tim H isn’t on CE list. Rhonna should be good. I’ve had most of the other teachers so I sure would like to be a volunteer. LMK 🙂

29 January, 2007 at 2:41 pmHeidi! Loved your blog! The LOVE letters are super — I’ve decided to buy them at Michaels and spell out the word CREATE for my scrapbooking room. I think I’ll copy some of your ideas, too..especially the glitter — well, actually, all of it..tee hee. Glad you took the time to recharge – it pays off in the long run. And Eric’s garage doors are VERY classy — good luck to him!

30 January, 2007 at 3:11 pmi just re-read your blog entry and i am feeling those exact same feelings you had a few days ago. tomorrow i am leaving out of town with my husband without our girls (we are going to nyc. yay!). i am so excited, but in trying to get ready i am finding that i am irritable and nervous and in a funky mood. it is good for me to see that we all go through that.

30 January, 2007 at 5:18 pmCute letters! Tell Eric those doors are stunning! I LOVE the look! Big congrats to him!

30 January, 2007 at 11:28 pmCan I ask you a favor? Could you do an entry one day where you go through your typical day or week?
I am in total admiration for you in being able to juggle 4 children, a pregnancy AND your own business. I have 2 children and my own business but I never feel “complete”. I always have to neglect some aspect…like housecleaning! Do you have help? When do you ever work with four children? Just yesterday I spent 3 hours in the car just shuffling the kids from appointment to appointment. Thanks! and a huge congratulations on the new pregnancy.
