MEMORY DEX & MAGNOLIA JANE
Hello everybody! Today I want to highlight one of my favourite ways to customize my Memory Dex.
Earlier this week on my personal blog, I shared an inside look into my Memory Dex and how I created it as an inspiration piece to house all of my favourite quotes and photos. You can find that post here.
Today I want to share another fun way to truly customize your Memory Dex by using the Memory Dex die cuts. These die cuts are fabulous in that you can create perfectly sized and punched Memory Dex cards for your spinner or tray using all of your favourite paper collections from your stash. Fabulous right?!!
I know many of you out there have fallen absolutely head over heels in LOVE with the new Heidi Swapp Magnolia Jane collection. It truly is my obsession. Needless to say, I just had to create some Memory Dex cards for my tray using my favourite papers and embellishments.
To begin, I chose a few of my favourite pattern papers from the Magnolia Jane 12×12 paper pad and trimmed them down to about 6×6 inches. (Note: There are 2 sets of dies available for the Memory Dex, I am just sharing one set in this post. You can see the other set here).
Next up, align your paper and die into your die cutting machine.
Pass through your die cutter.
Voila! A perfect and professionally cut Memory Dex card all ready to go. In literal seconds, no joke.
Once you get playing with these dies and your favourite papers the sky is truly the limit. You can endlessly create as many cards as you wish…literally allowing yourself to custom create your own Memory Dex card sets!
I LOVE having this option available when creating cards for my Memory Dex.
Of course, after you have your cards cut come the embellishing!
One of my favourite ways to customize my Memory Dex cards lately is to add vintage type text using my We R Memory Keepers Typecast.
I also love adding stamping, photos, washi and clips to my cards as well.
There truly are no right or wrong ways to go about this. It is truly an endless creative place to just play and experiment and to keep “adding” to your Memory Dex collection!
Here is a quick “flip through” of my latest additions into my Memory Dex tray:
The Memory Dex system is such a wonderful way to not only document but display what which means the most to you.
Thanks for stopping by. Happy creating everyone 🙂
