Memory Planner | June Wrap-Up
Hello, hello everyone!
Well, it’s almost June…and you know what that means…
…another month (almost) done in my Memory Planner!
Just in case you’ve forgotten…this year I’m using a personal-sized Memory Planner to document our year.
It’s been so much easier for me. I don’t feel any pressure to fill large spaces with either photos or words, and I’m not overwhelmed by the documenting at all…thank goodness!
Here’s at look at how June is shaping up…
Because the spaces in this planner are a lot smaller than they are in other planners, I try to keep my documenting short & sweet…usually I write just a few words to summarize each day.
Sometimes I’ll add photos to the page spaces…but, because there is so much going on each day this summer, I’ve kept the daily spaces for journaling…
…and added my weekly photos to 4×6 grids that I’ve just punched and added directly into the planner.
A scrap piece of copy paper adhered to the back of the photos provides my space for photo-explanation, as well as adds a little more room so I don’t have to punch my binder holes directly through my photo.
My husband and son attended a Chicago Cubs game earlier in the month…and I needed a way to include their tickets in my documenting.
So I simply took one of the cards from Heidi’s new Stationery Collection, sewed up the bottom & side and created a pocket I could just slip them into.
Later in the month, 2 of my kids attended a birthday party that I wanted to make sure I remembered…so I took the invitation we were sent, divided it at the fold, punched both sides and added into the planner.
Then I just clipped a few photos from the day right onto the back side of the invitation…easy peasy.
I try to fit the entire week’s worth of photos onto one 4×6 grid…
…but some weeks had just too many cute photos, so I added more…;)
I’ve printed off some of my very favorite photos from the week in larger sizes so that I can go back & scrap them (and their stories!) at a later time.
Including a cutie little Instax photo is a great way to change things up a bit!
And that’s it!
Sweet & simple.
And completely do-able.
Don’t forget…how you document your everyday is up to YOU.
There are no wrong or right ways to do it…just get those stories told!
Thanks so much for taking a look!
And have a wonderful almost-holiday weekend!
