Memory Planner storage and 2016 year in review
With less than one week to go before the end of 2016 I am feeling such an achievement to have completely filled my Memory Planner. I love that it is full to the brim with my family’s big and small memories. Today I want to share with you a little insight about where I have sat every couple of nights to work on my planner. I have a small space downstairs dedicated to my memory planning. I love that I can sit and think and record our stories in the one area.
I also want to share with you a few ( well maybe more than just a few) of my favorite pages from my planner. It really has been such a pleasure to create my weekly pages.
So let me start with my planner area.
I have a small table in the corner of our family room to hold all my pieces.
I have my We R Memory Keepers Typeface typewriter and planner punch on one side of my desk.
In a wire basket I have my planner notepads, cards and embellishments. Next to the wire basket I have my Instax Printer and Polaroid Zip printer ready to print out my photos. These are both so easy to use , I can print straight from my iPhone!
In a pretty bowl I have my clear stamps and ink. These are some of my most used items in my planner.
Ok so it is time to share some of my favorite pages from 2016.
You may notice in the first number of photos my planner is black. During the year I have transferred my pages into the Memory Planner Storage Binder to make it easier to manage my Gold and White planner for every day use.
In January we visited Hawaii and I used one of the Minc Laminating Pouches to add a 4×6 photo to my planner.
I love adding my boys drawings. I use my hole punch and then simply slip them into the planner.
In March I used one of the Clear Dashboards over a 5×7 photo for a pretty effect.
I travelled from Brisbane Australia to visit Jamie Pate in Denver where I experienced snow for the first time in many years.
And then went on to visit Heidi in Utah. I used one of the 4×4 pocket pages to add lots of photos from my trip. I also added memorabilia straight into my planner as well by punching holes and popping them in.
4 x 4 photos straight into my planner.
I made my own divider page using some of the Minc Reactive Paint and Gold foil. Then laminated it and added it in.
Memories from my classroom.
Another of the Minc Laminating pouches to hold precious photos.
I created another divider page out of vellum and foiled it with the Gold and Pink Ombre foil.
Lots of photo…lots of memories.
Everyday memories that would otherwise be forgotten if not captured in my planner.
Another 4×6 photo!
I’m never a fan of my handwriting but I love the look of it in my planner!
I used the printable Heidi created for Halloween and laminated it in one of the Minc pouches and added it in.
Another 4×4 plastic pocket page to hold precious memories.
Clear divider pages add visual interest without the bulk.
For this book mark I used the November banner Heidi created for the Holiday Mouse Paper Scissors class, printed it in yellow then added it into my planner.
In November we had a once in ten years Butterfly migration and I was lucky enough to capture some beautiful photos. I printed off my photos 4×6 and added them straight into my planner.
My youngest turned 8 at the beginning on December so I captured his birthday celebrations to always remember!
December has also been filled with celebrations with friends…
visits to Santa…
and time together as a family!
Can you believe I have a years full of memories all stored in the one beautiful place. I will be able to look back in years to come in my 2016 Memory Planner and cherish all the big and little stories of my family. For that I will always be truly thankful.
Have a beautiful new year with your family and friends. I cannot wait to start my planner for 2017! More stories, more photos and more memories!
