Minc It Monday – Foiled Decor
Happy new week, friends!
It’s time for yet another edition of Minc It Monday!
Only this time I won’t be using a Minc machine.
Yeah, yeah, I know…
But I WILL be using Minc Foil!
So it’s kinda the same thing.
Here’s all you’ll need for this fun & easy home decor piece:
*Heidi’s Wall Words
*spray paint – any color
*Minc Reactive Foil – any color, but it looks totally cool if it’s the same tone as your spray paint
*double-sided tape – any brand will do
STEP 1: Spray your Wall Word & let it dry. Easy peasy.
This green is MY VERY FAVORITE right now…and you’ll probably see it on pretty much everything I do for a while.
STEP 2: Once your word is completely dry, cut strips of tape and place them across your word.
I chose to decorate my word with horizontal stripes, but you can choose any pattern or shape you like.
I probably could have cut my strips into smaller pieces to save tape, but I didn’t want to have to worry about making sure my stripes lined up. This way was much easier for me.
STEP 3: Flip your word over and cut away the excess tape using a craft knife.
Looking pretty cool, right?
STEP 4: Remove the double-side tape.
STEP 5: Cut a small piece of foil & gently press/rub it over the sticky parts of your tape.
One piece of foil should be enough to use for your entire word.
STEP 6: Repeat STEP 5 until all of the exposed tape has been foiled.
You have a darling piece of foiled decor!
I LOVE the tone on tone look you get when you use a foil color similar to your paint color…but any combination of colors/paint would be awesome!
I love the way this looks…and it was so quick & easy!
Thanks so much for stopping by.
I hope I’ve inspired you to add a little shine to your next home decor project!
