minc texture paste elements

Recently my family and I visited a nighttime light exhibition and although the lighting was tricky to take photos with I did manage to take this photo of my boys and husband playing glow in the dark basketball. I wanted to make a feature of this photo in my project life so I enlarged the photo and printed it off at 6×12. I also wanted a simple but dramatic way to embellish the photo and I couldn’t think of a better way than with the Minc. Let me share my step by step process with you below to see how easy it was to achieve.

I love how the Gold Star Minc foil just adds to the theme of my photo!

Don’t you love the shimmer and shine and slight texture I have added with Minc Texture paste!

Let me share just how easy this technique is!

I began by using cutting machine to cut out this quote I found online. I simply typed it into my cutting machine, changed up the font and size and then cut it onto some white cardstock.

I then taped the homemade stencil directly over my printed photo. I used some washi tape to hold the cardstock down.

I then used some of the white Minc texture paste and my scrapper tool to spread it over the stencil.

Once the cardstock stencil was removed I allowed the texture paste to  dry and then laid over some of the Gold Star Minc foil and ran it through my Minc.

Isn’t the reveal just spectacular! It really is one of my most favourite techniques. I encourage you to try this technique to really make your photos pop!

You can find all the Minc goodies at JoAnn stores right now!
