more…waiting for SPRING!

more…waiting for SPRING!

so as i mentioned, i was up late scrapbooking last night…so today i quickly snapped some better photos of my layouts. i had such a fab time crafting last night…caught up on all kinds of hulu.com and just played around. last week we kicked off "Mouse Paper Scissors" which is an online class i am teaching with Jessica Sprague. the class is specifically a 'hybrid' scrapbooking class- the spectrum of 'hybrid' possibilites is huge… and for me, i just love to take advantage of anything that will add to the creative resources! last week on the LIVE webshow (2/23) i was able to show some creations with the newest collection from House of 3, it's called "waiting for spring"… it's a 8×11 printable kit, so you don't need to have any digital skills at all, but if you do- you certainly can manipulate the files!  The kit is such a BASIC kit, a neutral kit… and it's amazing how easy it is to work into other paper lines and different styles and types of scrapbook pages.  i made 2 different double page layouts, and 3 single pagers- all 8 1/2 x 11. so for all these, i used the 'waiting for spring papers' along side other collections…printable House of 3 collectiosn as well as our physical collections from Pink Paislee. –

so i'll start out with the last page that i completed last night, because it is just the happiest layout, and i love how it turned out:

Connorall for this page, i used a darling, heart melting photo of Connor that was taken when Maggie Holmes photographed our family up at the Utah State Capitol.  I used a combination of "waiting for spring" (grey and white background on the left), the yellow dot from the "soiree" collection as well as elements from the "Daily Junque" collection (both Daily Junque and Soiree are produced by Pink Paislee).  LOVE the yellow POW!  i stuck yellow crepe paper (4 layers) between the yellow and grey/white and used my Martha Stewart fringe scissors. so cute!! i love photo corners, and i cut these from paper in THIS kit.

Connor2 i added a pop of color on the grey/white background SIMPLY with colored pencils. – it's good to write w/ pen first, then add the color on top (pencil then pen, then erase, then color).

Connclose true confessions: i have been hoarding these glittery little letters for a couple years! they are Making Memoires, and i just love them. love the color, the font, the size. and i have never actually used them until this week!!

Connortop all these different elements are from Daily Junque. SO CUTE!!

ok, so i love this background paper too… its the same as the one i used in the above paper, just in pink! it's also in the "waiting for spring" collection-  i used more Soriee elments and paper, as well as the printed matching tissue paper… SO cute!

i added jewels on the background, and also the glittery dimensional stickers. this is a horrible photo quality -i took it with my phone, so it's hard to see.. but her party was a princess runway show! they all changed into different dress ups and walked the runway- it was so much fuN!

i mixed a little of the Soiree collection and some of the Holiday backgrounds on this page… it's just a fun page- maybe you remember seeing these photos on my blog a while back, i have play doh issues, but i am trying to embrace it!
i also used some Bazzill flowers, and Pink Paislee alpha stickers on this page… as well as some House of 3 papers… i love love these "sunny backgrounds"

when we were in Arizona for thanksgiving, i loved that Quincy and her cousin Alyssa had a chance to catch up and spend lots of time together. i caught a few shots of them scrapbooking – so cute.

Aq1 Aq i added envelopes and circle punches and the mini – elements from the kit.

Cageclose i added some jewels and glitter to this little birdcage… so cute!

i added glitter to this branch as well… and added to the background with the Parisian Anthology stamps. i do love how the Parisian Anthology stuff all looks so awesome w/ the "waiting for spring" kit.

i thought i'd also photograph a couple of the projects i showed the other night during the webshow… i am planning on showing a how-to on this little book: these papers are just SO cute together!

Capri mini

i made this cute little shadow boxes for Quincy's room… i haven't finished it up yet… but here is a peek at it… i screen printed on the glass, and then used one of the 'waiting' backgrounds and a branch from the yard. i need to finish it up!!
ok… that was lots of things to share! hope you are feeling inspired! i have a few more ideas to share, as well as a couple how-tos…i am excited for a new weeK! looking forward to watching the Oscars and planning out meals for the coming week!
