My Studio Transformation
Sometimes a new year and a fresh start is all you need to get a little motivated to do a little bit of cleaning….well in my case a lot of cleaning! Late December I had a marathon scrapbooking session over two days and my scrapbook studio ended up like a disaster zone. I didn’t stop to clean up between projects and as you will see below I ended up scrapbooking on the floor as there was no room on my desk!
I had been using my We R Memory Keepers typecast typewriter downstairs on my December Daily and I had not put away as yet!
My table was full to the brim with ephemera, Minc foils, adhesive and other bits and pieces.
With my desk full I ended up scrapbooking on the floor!
With the new year looming I set out to give my room the make over it deserved! Below you will see how It turned out and why I love being in here to be creative!
This is the view as I walk in my door!
As you walk through the door and turn right I have the two tables that my husband and I share set up, we bought these from Ikea and put them together. Under the table on the table leg shelves I have baskets which hold some tools, adhesives and trimmers.
This is the side view of the tables. You can see my husbands computer on the left. Shortly after we got new tables my husband hung this two sets of shelves on the wall which holds bits and bobs.
On my table I have my beloved Make Pretty Stuff mat and my new Desk calendar which I am going to use to keep track of my assignments.
A little Letterboard inspiration with the medium white letterboard leaning against the wall.
I had previously spray painted my 2 inch white letterboard letters with yellow spray paint!
On my shelf I have placed some of my Heidi wooden words and a favorite photo of the team that I enlarged!
On my table top I have my Mini Lightbox and a white tray which holds scissors, adhesive an lots of pretties.
Hanging on the door next to my Table I have my Crate Paper wire grid panel.
Turning right you will find a white set of shelves that holds my Minc foils and Minc Reactive mediums.
I love how pretty all my foils look in my wire basket.
Turning right I have a set of IKEA Expedit shelves which stores some of my new collections. On the bottom shelf I have baskets that hold my Stationery collection and bits and bobs in the larger basket.
My top shelf holds my Cinch machine and some of my We R Memory Keepers Typecast typewriter collection.
Below I have my new Lightbox which I have placed on a slight angle so the pink edge can be seen.
I sewed my fun Create Banner using my We R Memory Keepers Stitch Happy sewing machine and hung it from the top of the shelves.
On the top of my Expedit I have a favorite photo from my wedding and a layout I created and framed about the first time I met Heidi in Australia many many years ago.
Next to the Expedit I have another set of shelves from IKEA that holds my pattern paper.
To the right I have more shelves which on top holds my printers.
My baskets hold punches, paints, inks ,
and some older Heidi collections.
Next to that set of shelves on a small white table I have all my Color Shine sprays in a pretty tiered tray.
Turning to the right I have another set of shelves which holds my Silhouette cameo and Stitch Happy sewing Machine.
I love how pretty and functional the Stitch Happy sewing machine sits on the shelf.
Hidden inside my box I have photo paper, printer inks and adhesives. I placed a mint cloth over it to hide the mess inside.
Instax pretties ready and waiting to be used.
Finally I have a set of shelves that holds my Typecast Typewriter and my One Canoe 2 globe.
Sitting on the shelf I have my 2018 Heidi Swapp planners, coming soon. I love the glitter and shine that the planners create on my shelf.
I must say since I have cleaned up and transformed my studio I love walking in and just sitting in the peace and calm. It is such a fabulous place for my husband and I to work and of course for me to make pretty stuff!
