project display made easy!
I don’t know about you but I make a lot of crafty projects. The one thing I always struggle with is finding a place to display it all and make it look pretty and uncluttered.
Today I want to share a couple of fun ideas to to get those projects out of the pile ( cough cough we all have that huge pile of projects right just waiting to be slipped into albums or given as gifts) and displayed in your home or studio.
So let me back track a little…a few months ago I redid one of the areas in my scrap studio using the new Gallery Wall collection available now at Michaels. You can find the post here. I have been wanting to add to my decor pieces and what better way to do this than to use the Instalove collection and create those display ideas.
First let me quickly share some of the other pieces I added to my display. I have started filling some of the 6×12 inch Instalove Memory books with some favourite photos.
That coloured spiral album is full of some art work ideas for my teaching. I add Instax photos often in the album so I keep my Instax printer nice and close.
I added one of my fav Instalove photos onto the Magnet Easel. I love that I can interchange the photo and magnetic frame when ever I want.
So now lets get to the fun bit. I had my hubby hang a small metal hook in the ceiling of my studio and hung the Instalove Chandelier from the hook. I simply added some white thread to the hook to allow it to hang at the height I wanted .
I then started hanging some of my recently made cards and Instax photos that are soon to be used for scrapbook layouts and in my planner using the gold clips that come in the pack.
I added in that card for inspiration from the Gallery Wall collection.
It looks so pretty up there holding some of my favorite cards and favorite photos.
Next my husband ( he is quite handy really) helped me hang the gold arrow also from the new Instalove collection. It’s as easy as pushing the two gold pins into the wall to hang the arrow. I then used the small magnets to hang up my latest layout.
Im loving that I can savour my favourite projects for just a little bit longer before i put them away into my albums and add to my decor at the same time.
Here I show my layout in more detail. I used one of Heidi’s Word stencils from the Gallery Wall collection and some white texture paste to create the subtle background.
I then layered on my papers, vellum, embellishments and splashes of Butter Colorshine to finish!
This view just makes me so happy!
Now when I enter my studio I’m inspired even more. It is such an energising place to be. In fact I cant wait to get back up there and create again.
