quick mini album with storyline chapters
There is nothing better than celebrating some of the simpler things in life such as a weekend full of fun than with a quick and easy mini album. Recently we had one of those weekends and instead if creating seperate scrapbook pages about them each I decided to create a concertina mini album. It came together so easily, let me share some more details.
I started with some plain chipboard pieces and trimmed them 2.5 x 6 inches. I then trimmed two pieces of contrasting pattern papers from the Storyline Chapters project pad to 3.5 x 7 inches and covered one side and the inside of the chipboard pieces. These will from the covers of my mini.
I laid some ribbon across both covers leaving about 1.5 inches between and adhered the ribbon to the inside covers. I then went ahead adhered the concertina ends to both of the cover peices. I then trimmed some more of the matching pattern papers and trimmed them slightly smaller than cover pages and adhered this over the ribbon. I chose another contrasting pattern paper and trimmed it to 10 x 6 inches and then concertina folded this to create a place for my page inserts.
I trimmed pages from the same Storyline Chapters project pad to 2.2 x 5.8 and adhered the three pages to one of the concertina folds. I adored a photo trimmed to the same size to the back of the pattern paper pages.
I embellished each page simply with stickers from the Storyline Chapters collection. I wanted the photos to take centre stage in my album.
I love how easily this page came together and you can really add as many pages as you want depending how many folds you create in your concertina. Such a quick and easy way to celebrate a special occasion.
You can find the Storyline Chapters collection at JoAnn stores now.
