quick recap

ok…so fun show tonight!! (you can watch it here) kicked things off by sharing my little 'treat tower'- you have to check this out! so cute!

Treat tower2

i shared some fun ideas for the new mini-halloween flags… i also talked about Janet's jewlery printable... check out her blog for more INFO!

Treat tower
like to add to the cute Phantom Halloween cards! lovey love!

then i showed how to create a creepy mirror!

and um, what else?? oh, the crepe roses… they rock!

i also talked about the Halloween countdown calendar– that can either be just a calendar- or a countdown… who doesn't countdown to free candy!? as you can tell, halloween makes me happy!

if you are looking for a heidi swapp Mirror album… email me here

i am heading to AZ for the day tomorrow… meeting w/ Bazzill to work on the details of the 2o11 Creative Escape! can that be possible?! we are putting a few new twists on CE- more info to come! looking forward to some Tia Rosas!

still trying to decide what to be for halloween this year… any ideas? SO, i was thinking that i'd like to do a little GIVEAWAY here on my blog.. SO, if you are willing to help me decide what to be… i am giving all the stuff needed to make one of the Halloween Countdown projects: the Countdown kit from House of 3, a Capture Beauty kit (the class i taught at Creative Escape this year) and… i'll throw in a Heidi Swapp Mirror album!! WHAT or WHO should i be?? HELP!

I think you should be Mother Nature. You could be covered with really cute fabric flowers, maybe some die cut leaves. All this over a loose flowing dress or skirt and top. Maybe a long flowing blonde wig and some bling. So many ways you could go with this idea.

I saw the cutest costume the other day. Took a box and painted it to look like a nightstand with drawers and drawer handles on the front. Made a hole in the sides for your arms and a hole in the top for your head. You then put a lampshade on your head so you look like a lamp on the nightstand. It was really cute and inexpensive.

I think you should dress up like the ‘sassy’ house of 3 girl, complete with a pink treat tower like the one you made look ‘halloweenish’, but do this one pink and glitter and a little black….

so many great ideas ladies! I love the idea of the whole family dressing up together ..the whole crew could dress up as the cast of the Wizard of Oz.

  • Heidi….how about a Sonic drink…I know how much you miss your Sonic drinks….and you can bling it up like you did with the ladies in Houston 🙂 Though I think the interpretation of the House of 3 girl idea rocks….

How about Abby from NCIS? Or Flo from the Progressive Commercial, or take a huge clear trash bag, cut two holes in it for your feet, fill it with multicolored balloons and be a bag of Skittles or M&M’s. Tie the opening around your neck. Cut the words out of vinyl with your silhouette and stick it to the front of the bag. Now try to fit behind the wheel of your car in that getup.

Mother Nature would make a great costume to use your supplies on. 🙂
I’ll keep thinking on this…it’s still early here. LOL

The headless horseman and Katrina Van Tassel from the Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Just put the image of Eric’s face on a pumpkin and he can carry it under his arms. Maybe a broom pony for him to ride and a jacket pulled over his head. Add a few cobwebs and he’s good to go. You could wear tassells on your hat…and a nice long dress…good luck!

A couple ideas…The Brady Bunch (have to find 1 more) and get some funky 70s clothes or Gilligan’s Island. Can you tell what shows I grew up watching?! Or I’ve seen a lot of Alice in Wonderland costumes that are cute and I love the costume for the Mad Hatter.

I have another one that would be cute. I saw a box of crayola crayons costume and different colors of crayon costumes the other day. You or Eric could be the box and the kids could be all different crayons. Or one of you could get a big pad of paper and make shoulder straps and be a big paper pad.

  • With your perky little attitiude you’d make a perfect Betty Boop…she is glamorous and fun all at the same time!

i love halloween and have had some wonderful costumes that i have made from scratch…some of my favorites are Dracula, Carmen Miranda. One that I have been wanting to do that would be fun for you: a dirty clothes basket. This was cute, just fit a plastic laundry basket over you with shoulder straps and add laundry! This is a great one too: a tornado – tease your hair and put mini plastic items in your hair and use black trash bag with like items attached.

I think the Alice in Wonderland theme is a great idea. You could be the “Queen of Hearts”, Eric the Mad Hatter and the kids could choose other characters from the story. Quincy would be soooo cute as Alice and the older boys as Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee. Loved the look of the new version with Johnny Depp. Sort of creepy, scary while still family friendly.

My first thought was a tooth fairy all pink, glittery and blingey with a poofey tulle skirt and of course a wand with lots of sparkle. But then I remembered the photo from last year…. since you sparkle all year long maybe you want a day on the dark side.

  • Heidi I think it would be fun for you to be one of those roller derby girls!! You would make a great one!! You could make a neat t-shirt (team shirt) Then you could use glimmer mist to decorate it up. Then wear some of the neat jewelry and the roller skates, and a cute head band/flowers and your ready to roll!! Thanks for the chance to win!! =)

Heidi you would make a beautiful ghostly Prom Queen in one of those big frilly pink old bridesmaid gowns and a satin sash across with your title. Don’t forget the black roses for your corsage and in your hair. I would go with fishnet stockings and sparkly sandals, maybe a white rabbit fur cape if it’s cold. Junque it up, a few tears here and there and some phantom nights GM ought to get the look.
Whatever you be will be original and entertaining just like you. (it’s true, but ok I really do want to win the prize too) Happy Halloween and thanks for the best show yet!!
