Rainbow Foil Statement Piece

Heidi Swapp Minc

With St Patrick’s Day just around the corner I was inspired to use the new Rainbow MINC foil on layout.  I was thinking about how I could create a rainbow down my entire page and came up with the idea of using a toner sheet and the MIC foil and a cut file…let me share how my layout came together.

I began with the new Rainbow foil and a Toner sheet. I took one of  the 8 x 10 sheets and covered it completely with the  Rainbow foil and then ran it through my Minc!

I  created my own cut file in the Silhouette studio software ( Street Art ) and then placed the foiled toner sheet on the cutting mat and cut it out.

I used some of the new Color Fresh pattern papers  ‘Paint the Town’ as a base for my layout and then added my foiled cut file onto my page.   I decided to adhere the letters a little wonky to add to the theme of my layout. Next I added some gold stitching around the cut file. I then added my photos to each side of the layout, adding them under and over the letters for some cohesiveness.

I took one of the Color Fresh Puffy stickers and layered it over the cut file and added some stamping from the Color Fresh Clear  Stamp set under some of the photos to further add to the eclectic feel.

Finally I added some of the Ephemera pieces and stickers from the Sticker Book around my photos to complete my layout!

The Rainbow foil has become my new favorite way to make a statement on a layout. I cant wait to use it again!
