scheduling and a WINNER!

scheduling and a WINNER!

SO, I just wanted to get some dates out there…I have to confess.. I am the WORST at nailing down dates. I think that I drive everyone CRAZY!! BUT it’s time, I have to get serious! I mean, holy cow, it’s March 6th. Time Flies!  On May 8-9th, we are holding our Creative Escape Preview Day! I love preview day; this is where we run through all the classes, make sure that we have all our bugs worked out, and the volunteers get to be the test run! Exciting!  So since I am going to be there, I have booked a couple dates and places that I will be teaching: here they are! (do you like my cute calendars here! courtesy house of 3?! -i used some blog couture as backgrounds… note: only the march 2009 calendars are available at the moment)

April 28th in Edmonton, Canada. (watch for more info beginning of next week!)
May 1-2 at By Design Scrapbooks, Houston, TX
May 6,7 at Scrapbooks ETC., Mesa, AZ

At By Design and Scrapbooks, ETC… I will be teaching a project I am really LOVING in my own life, and it’s also a FUN project to make (and teach)… it’s a 3 hour class, I will be posting complete class supply list. I call it my “Energy Journal”.
You can contact By Design, and Scrapbooks, ETC for bookings…

 and if you would like to join me in Edmonton at the Greenwood… I will be opening registration on Monday, March 16th, and more information will follow(next Monday).  The Edmonton workshop is an all day gig… I will be teaching the Energy Journal, along with a 3 hour Technique Class that will focus on fun ways to use masks and invisible- oh it will be fUN (and inky)!

I also wanted to announce one other date, even though it’s OUT THERE! Right now is actually a really good time to talk about it!! if you are anywhere that it’s COLD, and if you are even remotely SICK OF WINTER, (which you know I am!) fast forward to next year… at this time, well, FEB 21-28, 2010 to be exact… wouldn’t you LOVE to be on a fabulous Royal Caribbean Cruise??? Ok, well.. you have ONE YEAR TO PLAN!! Jump ‘on board’ now, and you have a whole year to pay little by little! How awesome is that.. and I can tell you by first hand experience… that it’s AWESOME to enjoy a cruise in the middle of the winter! The Ultimate Scrapbooking Cruise is SO nice to look forward to, and SUCH a blissful, enjoyable, WORRY FREE vacation! Jim West is our host, and Scrapmap has already announced myself, and Debby Schuh as instructors… and they are getting ready to announce their ‘surprise’ instructor.. and I was chatting w/ Jim on facebook, and he totally dished… and I couldn’t be MORE THRILLED. I will tell you that it’s one of my MOST FAVORITE people! And Debby is the coolest! She is joining us at Creative Escape this year.. she has such a fun blog to follow.. she travels SO much and always has a cool project served up! I am really looking forward to working with her over the next year. In fact, I believe she will be teaching at Scrapbooks, ETC right before me in May… (and Tim Holtz right after)… you lucky Mesa girls!

So I am not sure if you saw this.. but it’s super cute. Just a little something else to ‘warm your home’… it’s funny, as we read through ALL the comments about what makes your house a home- it’s so fun to read about how much we have in common! COOKING, food.. favorite dishes is certainly part of that ‘feeling at home’.  Mmm. The recipe cards are available here! (make great gifts)… I think that if you take a dish in to someone, it’s always a great idea to include the recipe.. these are about a million times cuter than what you print off of ‘cooks.com’… (lol, although I LOVE that site)

Along with the obvious keys & wallet, I have everything but the kitchen sink, LOL! I always have mints, gravol pills and motion, sickness bracelets and crackers (I get motion sick, so these are essentials), hand lotion and lip balm (for my dry lips and skin), water (I like to stay hydrated at all times, LOL!), MP3 player and something to read (in case I have some time to kill), eyeglass repair kit (you never know when your glasses will need fixing, LOL!), my planner and a pen, and an assorted miscellany of other items. I hope I win the bag, and I hope it's really, really roomy, LOL!

    I am holding my breath for the lottery (Creative Escape Lottery… Powerball would be nice too, but I will be just as happy to “win” a spot to CE!!!!) But I will keep the cruise in mind as a backup!!
    Do you have a link for the seamstress that made your Apron you posted a while back on your blog? (black, white, & pink)–okay, that just described everything you own. {wink!!}
    Also, when does “blog of the week” start??? You know I need that trophy!!! 🙂
    Have a great weekend.

    I am seriously thinking about taking that cruise, Heidi. And I looked on the website for Scrapmap, and I am thinking, you know what, I want to see the world. Somehow, someway, i’m going to do it- even if I have to go by myself! I may just take my little sister (16) to Ireland if I can save up enough money for her. I wanted to do China but its too close to this year for me to be able to do that 🙁 Somehow, someway…
    I am going to try to do the Home book for my parents- I don’t really have a “home” since my life has changed so much these past few months…Do you have any ideas on what I could put in the book, esp when I don’t live there, and it would be a suprise gift for my parents? My brother is going to be graduating high school and going off to college in June :*). so this would be a nice gift don’t you think?

    Wow, wow, wow!!!! I can’t believe I won that ADORABLE bag!!!!!!!!!! I ran downstairs right away and told my husband that I won (and showed him the picture of the bag) – funny, though – although he was excited for me, he wasn’t nearly as filled with excitement as I was, LOL!!!! Men – can’t figure them out at all, LOL!!!
    I can’t get the link to work to email you, though. Ack!!! I tried last night and again this morning, but with no luck. Please email me, or advise me on how I can get in touch with you. In the meantime, I’ll keep trying the link!
    Thanks so much,

    I stopped planning meals. I subscribe to e-mealz.com. They have quite a few different plans, my family’s crazy about all the menus, and they’re $15.00 for 3 months of weekly menus (1 page for the menus and recipes, 1 page for the shopping list). {I used to struggle with planning menus, too.}
