Scrapbooking with Magnolia Jane
Maggie here, with a layout I’ve created from Heidi’s brand new paper collection, Magnolia Jane!
I recently came across some old family photos and found this shot of my Great-Grandmother…circa 1935. Just look at all of that red hair under her hat!
As soon as I saw it I knew it would look just perfect scrapped with the beautiful, feminine Magnolia Jane papers & embellishments. The colors coordinate just beautifully!
I started by fussy-cutting the large magnolias from the aptly-named Magnolia paper and inking up the edges with white ink. Then I layered them along the bottom of my cardstock.
Next, I tucked my photo in behind a few of the flowers.
I added the gold-foiled acetate word, “timeless” with some clear-drying glue and a few staples…and stamped the “you are” using a set of the new MJ clear stamps.
Some kraft & foil die-cut stars from the ephemera pack finish off my page.
I wasn’t sure what direction this page would take when I started cutting out my flowers…but I really like where it ended up.
Thank you so much for taking a look!
I hope I’ve inspired you to maybe try some fussy-cutting on your next layout!
