seeing pink
this, my friends… is what happened last night in my living room…
it’s very PINK!
and yes… that is eric… dutifully painting a color onto his walls that he is very much opposed to! but … is giving me (very generous amounts) of creative freedom for the first time in our marriage!
(and i take it pink…yes… he is regretting it!)
i keep telling him that it is all going to pull together. so i am not going to show how the rest of it looks until i get it more put together. i have a deadline of friday- midnight. because i am having a shower here on sat. nothing like a little event to kick your butt in gear!
quincy is pretty stoked on the pink. she woke up in the middle of the night as we were working on the paint job and she was so excited. colton on the other hand, thinks its stupid!
ha ha
i love that
alright…
i am going to purchase a few more needed items!
thank you all for the comments and compliments! i am quite thrilled with the response to the “jeans” and i can’t WAIT until i get to cku-a and see all the altered jeans walking around there! i am loving it cause my MOM is coming to cku-a with us, and she just sent me HER jeans to junk up! although she did want to be sure i woudln’t make them TOO CRAZY!

18 October, 2005 at 3:51 pmcome on, we all know that eric is secretly as much a fan of pink as you are! i bet right now is he planning out which shirts in his wardrobe will look good with the new walls. so he can lean up against them all macho like and roll his eyes whilst telling people how you ‘convinced him’ to paint them pink, all the while inwardly congratulating himself on how nicely he matches the decor. haha! cant wait to see the finished product & good luck with that shower – do martha proud heidi! 😉

18 October, 2005 at 7:42 pmI made my husband come in and see this on the computer. He was like “yeah don’t even think about it.” But he did say let me see the finished product when she is done! He does live in a house with
4 girls and a fifth on the way, so he’s seeing pink everyday!!!!

19 October, 2005 at 8:01 amPink….but of course! It makes perfect sense and I have no doubt it will look incredible when done. My husband recently painted a room honeydew green and that was a stretch for him. He did so without complaint but at the end of the day when all was done he surprised me by saying, “I like it”.

20 October, 2005 at 12:37 pmLove the pink! I can’t wait to see how it turns out! I’m gonna show the finished product to my hubby to prove pink doesn’t always look like Pepto Bismol!! Can you post a close up pic of your jeans? I just keep getting glimpses and I’m dying to do a pair of my own.

21 October, 2005 at 3:43 pmfeels good to have freedom in a room..eh? My pink room is our big laundry, walk in closet and bath. I had to have ONE pink room in our house..that was what I got and I decked it out in pink and brown. LOVE it. Can’t wait to see your room. 🙂

22 October, 2005 at 11:29 pmSo my best-most favorite-scrapping girl came over this week and we made our HS jeans! Just had to let you know…you would love how excited everyone’s reactions have been. The Moms in my playgroup all want to come over and make some…and they don’t even scrap! {yet!} Another group of girls that I scrap with have older kids than mine, and now they’re planning a ‘mother/daughter’ jean party…everything you create turns to gold! (or is that PINK!?!)

23 October, 2005 at 10:49 pmok Heidi, that man must totally love you!!!!! While I think it rocks, my dh would argue that it clashes with his gun safe … which I ONLY let him buy because it matches my forest green carpet.
