September in my Time Flies Memory Planner
One thing that makes me happy at the end of each year is a full Memory Planner. Although I am an avid scrapbooker and storyteller, my Memory Planner allows me to capture the everyday moments of my family and I. This year I have dedicated this cause to my Time Flies Memory planner found at Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores. What I love most of all about this planner is that it combines what I like to call pocket scrapbooking and a calendar to catch all the important dates. Although I am a busy teacher and mum my Memory Planner is one thing I never miss each week. Let me share with you my month of September.
Let me start with the September prompts page. In Australia this month was Father’s Day so I dedicated this page to my husband and my dad. I chose masculine colors and patterns to bring this page together. I also used the Father’s Day Card Printable that Heidi shared here back in June to create a little tag for my page.
I printed this page onto photo paper and trimmed it into a banner shape.
I then used a hole punch and my new We R Memory Keepers Reinforce Hole Punch to create a colourful reinforcer for my tag. It adds a finished look to my tag don’t you think? I then adhered it to the prompts page and added some black ribbon with my Tiny Attacher to complete.
Next is the front side of the pocket page for September. I added tags and journaling using my We R Memory Keepers Typecast typewriter.
To add my Memory Planner Glitter alphabet stickers I used my American Crafts Thicker alignment guide for a fun curved look.
Turning the page you will find more photos in the pocket page. I added more journaling and stickers from the Memory Planner collection.
This month was very full as we had school holidays here so my boys and I got up to lots of fun things. I needed to add in an extra photo into my planner…
You can see the photo is attached easily into the spiral of my planner.
I began by using my We R Memory Keepers Planner Punch Board and Spiral Punch Inserts.
It is easy to line up a photo, piece of paper or embellishment and push down on the Punch Board leaver.
Once all the holes are punched I just popped the photo into my planner.
I simply pushed each notch into the spiral and it was complete.
I added some stickers and a tag from the Memory Planner collection to embellish my photo.
Finally my calendar page for September. I love that it is filled with photo and dates from the month. I have added a QR code of a video I had uploaded to YouTube of my kids and some friends playing at a water park. I have used stickers, Washi and stamps from the Memory Planner collection to complete my page.
As I mentioned at the beginning of my post, my Memory Planner is always a highlight for me at the end of the year to look back and see all the big and almost more important small moments of our life. With only 3 months till the end of the year, my planner is going to be jam packed full of memories.
