Slots of Cards
You know when you come upon an idea or technique and you just want to keep making it over and over again?
This is me. Right now. With Bazzill Cards in hand (pink of course). And fresh brand new Old School scattered all over my table. And a brand new die cut to play with.
This is the end product here.
I took a Bazzill Card from one of the Cards and Envelopes set, and cut the front cover off after having stuffed the inside with pretty stuff. Wait for it. I’ll show that in a second. Then I sewed on a vellum cover. And wrapped the whole thing with twine. Finished it off with some tags and Definition Sticker.
And this is the inside. I used a die cut to make the slots inside. But really, you could just trim out your own slots, and then back it with vellum at the back. You can see a process video I made that shows how this all came together. Catch that video HERE.
I added in mostly Old School Ephemera plus stash I literally had laying around. But there is also another Definition Sticker. And I made some tags to slip into a slot here and there. Plus a punched tab adds in some additional color. I could have kept going just adding stuff in. This was such a fun card to create.
Some of the Ephemera is adhered down. Some of the tags are not so that they can easily come out. Notes can be written on them to the receiver. It all makes for a super interactive card.
And I just kept going. This card is made with one of the grey cards from another set. With that card color as a cue I added in more pieces that stayed soft and grey and pink. You can find more details on this card as well as an additional card at THIS link.
Whew! So much fun. I hope you will play with this idea too.
