some creative time.

some creative time.

Magazines have always been a source of inspiration for me… love looking for color and style trends, typographical ideas, and I LOVE ads. My mom put a box together for me, and one of my friend’s dad who was coming to visit brought me the express delivery! SO fab…Q got a  couple Sunday dresses, connor got a springy sweater vest, and there was some big bottles of p-nut butter and grape jelly. Of course, once it was too late, I thought of 20 other things! LOL. I try not to focus on what I can’t get, or don’t have…and I think most stuff I can totally live without. Stuff, that I used to just suffer without! And we can buy ‘butter-flavor crisco’ at the import store… so that is a relief! Lol  (that is the key ingred. to my fav choc chip cookies).  THANKS MOM…
I scrapbooked for awhile yesterday… here are the results. I was just hoping to get some creative juices flowing! I enjoy that no-pressure stuff.

This is one of the invisibles papers…and i used some distress ink. LOVE to play!

This one is also from the Invisibles line.. including the invisibles chipboard ornate frame. I took these photos when i stayed at my sister's house. can you believe it was the first time i had ever stayed with her? so fun to be 'aunt heidi'…i used some of my felt flowers, and clock overlay (6" version), and the 'home sweet home'  from House of 3…and i use my alphabet stamps ALL the time, and LOVE them! I used a brand new, just opened Frayed Burlap Distress ink on this page.. oh how i love NEW inkpads! and you know what is funny, i haven't even gotten into my ribbon stash in a long time, and lately, i can't get enough! and i have been so grateful for my HUGE stash! i LOVe this color of blue.

This paper is from my new CHA collection… again, love this color. i used these chipboard moon and stars, and the matching journaling spots…i adhered the moon and stars (on SALE here!)  to a tim holtz fragment, and layered it over the journaling spot.  (the 'bryson' is my new casual stamps from CHA winter, coming soon!). i also used: clocks and silhouettes.

This is one of my favorite photos from our trip to Australia…i love the birds-eye view!  Here is more new paper… (Summer Sun, just shipping!).  you know how i love photo corners… and here i just mixed some of these, and these on opposing corners. To make the title… i used some foam alphas, and i am addicted to the fragments right now, so i mounted the h&0 to the fragment, and then the 2 on another one and layered it on top. i stamped using a journaling spot stamp directly under the opening of the 0, so i could journal inside! cute.  around the outside edge of the page, i embellished with some glossy chipboard flowers, and finished the title with the matching brackets.

Maybe you have noticed.. but Advantus has put special pricing on LOTS of items from the Heidi Swapp line that you can purchase from my heidiswapp.com website!! stuff that you can just use over and over… there is a feature where you can even sort by price… and there are TONS of .99$ deals! join in w/ a friend and order together to cut on shipping costs.. and go crazY! it's FUN to get stuff at those great prices! i have been working on a replenishment order. i am feeling out of everything!

I still owe information about Edmonton…just finalizing details. Look for that info tomorrow.

And if you have been playing with the  houseof3.com House Warming goods…check here! you can’t win if you don’t PLAY!

You were the very first “name” that I learned when I took up scrapping – I fell in love with your products first but once I read stuff about you and by you, I fell deeper! And now you are coming to my hometown…I may pee my pants with excitement! Can’t wait to hear all the Edmonton details 🙂

    Love your work!
I bought two copies of that last issue of Domino. One to read, one to keep. So sad.
I think your work has that same modern-edgy vibe that magazines like Domino have( or had!)and that’s probably why I’m so attracted to it.
