stamping in my journal
I have felt the need to go small over the last few weeks, just a change of pace and size has rejuvenated my love for Memory Keeping. It has been a while since I played in my Journal Studio inserts and I just took it out and played. It felt good to have a smaller canvas and restricted supplies – just a couple of peices of pattern paper and some clear stamps.
I began by printing off a small 3×4 photo, trimmed it to fit at the bottom of my page, rounded the corner and then adhered it to my page.
I then grabbed my Color Fresh clear stamps and some colored ink and created a cascade of words and phrases down the page. I love how it creates texture and movement on my page without the bulk of embellishments.
On the left page I trimmed some pattern paper from the Color Fresh paper pad and adhered it to my page. I used a large circle punch to punch out another circle and then used that circle stamp to add that cute stamped embellishment in the middle.
I love that I was able to play around with this fun stamping technique on a small scale, enjoy the process and create a page of Memory Keeping that means so much to me.
I hope you give this fun technique a go, it really is so quick and easy but so effective.
