Stationery + Gift Wrap
Heidi’s Stationery is not just for the card mailing types. These cards and kits found their way on a few of my packages recently. Today I want to share a couple ways with this collection.
Boy…when it rains it pours. That’s how birthdays seem to usually come around my life. There are several on the horizon, and I wanted to make them special and add extra touches to a couple of birthday gifts using Stationery. I picked up some black and white striped tissue, a floral tissue and some gift bags. I chose pinks and florals and black and white. These colors and patterns inspired what cards and Stationery kit I would be using.
To start, I wrapped one of the gifts with the black and white striped tissue. This was then wrapped several times with tulle and then finished with a big bow. Here’s a tip: always keep tulle on hand. You can never go wrong with white. It’s just a staple in my gift wrap stash and it is always used.
Next, I used the A2 Yay card and created a pocket by adding a tape runner strip to the right side and the bottom edge. Then I used a paper punch for that cut out at the top.
The Pink Embellishment Kit comes with several notecards. I took one of the cards, trimmed it down just a bit so it was not so long, and then embellished it.
Notched tags were created with the floral tissue. Then piece of confetti from the kit, and an epoxy arrow from the Black Epoxy Birthday Buzzwords, were adhered to the top edge. Another Buzzword, happy, was used for the card’s sentiment. Included in the Embellishment Kit is a sheet of glitter alphas, I used those on all these gifts to add sentiments. Here it finishes the phrase started with the Buzzword to say ‘Happy Day!’.
That tag was slipped inside the Yay pocket. It is hot glued to the top of the wrapped package. Yay!!! What a fun way to make a gift extra special.
When I need to make several of something, I just stick with a theme. The next package I need to make will be a variation on the previous theme. Still using the Pink Embellishment Kit, this time I opted for the “Hey Friend” notecard.
The glitter alpha from the kit and another Buzzword was used for the card’s sentiment.
This tag was added to that cute dot mini bag with a pop-dot. It was layered over some banner tags I created with pattern paper.
This came together super easy. The Embellishment Kit is so versatile. It has been used on two packages so far. Two different note cards creating two different tags. The use of Buzzwords and glitter alphas have been put to work making sentiments. And the same will happen for the last package.
There’s a theme happening here. Have you noticed. These pretty packages have all been created from just a few pieces from the Stationery Collection. Three cards. One embellishment kit. And one pack of Buzzwords. This third gift will be carrying on the same vibe.
This time the note card was notched at the bottom to create a base for the So Glad You Exist card.
Inside the greeting is created using the same techniques as above.
Three packages. Gift wrapped three ways. Staying with a theme. Using just a few Stationery products. Fabulous results.
