Storyline | Create an Interactive Layout
Hello friends!
Today I want to share a fun way to add some interactivity to a Storyline page.
Exactly what do I mean when I say interactivity? Well let me show you!
To create this little ‘hack’ you will need to grab some of your favourite pattern papers, a paper trimmer and a Storyline insert page. I am using an 8.5 x 11 page for my project today.
I collected some of my favourite pattern papers from the Color Fresh paper pad and trimmed them down to 4 x 6 size.
Next we are going to fold our papers in half to a 3×4 size.
However we will fold 1 paper with the pattern on the outside (which will serve as our cover), the others will be folded with the pattern inward so that when we complete our binding the patterns will show in the inside. If you have not guessed it yet, yes we will be doing the back to back binding technique for this mini book.
You can see how I adhere the pages below. My book used 4 pattern papers. You can use more if you wish, I just did not want my book to be too thick off the page.
To begin my layout I added one 4 x 6 unfolded pattern papers to serve as my base.
Then I adhered the last page of my booklet.
Once that step was complete I adhered the completed booklet on top.
I added washi from this Color Fresh Washi set along my book binding.
The choice is up to you!
Once my booklet was adhered I filled it up with some of my favourite photos trimmed to size.
I used stickers and embellishments from both Storyline and Color Fresh to complete my page and embellish. It was so fun to create!
I hope you try out this little technique on your next Storyline page! You can customize this little booklet so many ways and I know I will be creating many more for myself! Fill it with more photos, more story, more stuff…endless options await!
You can find everything I used to create my page at JoAnn stores and online right now! Be sure to check it out.
Till next time friends 🙂
