sugar chic, memory file & exclusives today on hsn!
Greetings from sunny FLORIDA. Tampa to be exact… TODAY I am appearing on HSN in the 8am hour and the 11am hour… I will be on air with a ‘Mistables’ kit for a KILLER price at $19.95… last time on that. And then 4 items in the Heidi Swapp brand. I am excited to show some fun samples and share what these collections can do! Here the issue with the Sugar Chic and the No Limits collections- these are the last of the Memory Files for these. The Memory Files are AMAZING to work with! whether you are creating Memory Files… or adding them onto layouts (in pieces or the whole thing) or… cutting them down to create mini-books…the POSSIBILITIES are ENDLESS! You can also grab of the Memory File boxes for only $14.95. These are awesome, of course, for storing Memory Files…but also so awesome for organizing photos, storing scrapbooking supplies and even kid’s art/school work etc. if you make cards – this box is just a pretty thing to put them in and keep them safe and organized. The last kit is SO fun! Especially now for summer… are you seeing the NEON everywhere? Well this little kit has some tapes, corners, pens, alphas and some DISCO hearts for good measure!
Thought I’d give you a better look at some of the samples I’ll have on air. I’ll show you the Sugar Chic first. This kit is fun cause got all the memory files, mixed with papers and all the coordinating extras.
I made this cute little mini by covering a chipboard box with the Chevron and Leopard papers… you know me, go bold or go home! the little pennant that coordinates with the Leopard has a pink “fabulous” on it, so I added some pink banner delights (not included in the kit, but you can cut from the papers pretty quick), and misted some ribbon to coordinate. I actually added in some Bazzill dot paper from their Antique line to make the ruffles.
I made this cute piece to show how QUICKLY you can make a mini by cutting a memory folder in half and tying them together with a piece of ribbon. The kit does include the cute COLORFUL instaframes that I just can’t get enough of…the instaframes come with rub-ons, labels and little like stickers! I did add a pennant and disco heart to complete the cover. I love tucking my little ‘instagram’ photos in these frames.
I wanted to show how you can add Memory Files right to your scrapbook pages- I love the idea on this one, even though I didn’t have time to trick it out…there are some exciting possibilities with this one! Ok, so I cut the front of the file down the middle, and where I have mounted the photo of Capri… it’s actually adhered down. On the right side, the flap opens to reveal more photos and possibilities underneath!
But, I have to say… making Memory Files is my favorite thing!! Ok, so I know I have used these photos already, but they are cute, and I was in the ‘cranking out samples mode’. So one really cool thing about the files is that they are double sided, so you can fold them ‘inside out’ and have a totally different look on the outside. That is what I did on this file. I loved adding those cute embellishments down the left side! On the inside, I took a 12×12 paper and folded it (off set just an 1”) and adhered that to the right inside of the folder to create an ‘openable’ and extra space to add photos. Again, I need more time to really add the finishing touches, but turned out so cute!
i LOVE the No Limits Collection– so perfect for boys, for adventure/travel/outdoor etc… I made two 12×12 pages. This one documents a funny story of how Cory kinda accidentally shaved his head on the night before he was speaking in church (on mothers day). I had to compare how he looked with bald dad!
This page I used ½ a file folder and one of the No Limits ‘openables’ open for a background. In the bottom right corner is the ‘sentiment storage’ envelope tucked with some extra little journaling etc. Both kits include ‘buzz words’ which are epoxy word stickers (like the ‘travels’ word seen here).
Again, I wanted to show a 12×12 page with a Memory File mounted to it –creating a really interactive and very FULL project. I cut the front down so that it exposes some of the inside pages- I put 19 photos on this page, and that was not even pushing it! if you were adding this inside an album, you could cut a slit in the page protector to allow all those pages to be exposed, so they can be handled if you wish. It’s just awesome to pack so much into ONE project! And they are really fun to look through!
