Summer Fun with Pineapple Crush
Downunder in Brisbane Australia we are less than a month away from Winter but our days have been beautiful and warm in Autumn so far. Just last week my friend and I took our kids to the beach for a swim because it was school holidays. It was such a beautiful day with the kids discovering the rock pools, building sand castles and frolicking in the water. It was such a lovely day I couldn’t wait to record it in my scrapbooks. The new Pineapple Crush collection was the perfect collection to use with my photos.
I began with the base using the scrip print on the Tide pool pattern paper. I then added a piece of Bazzill White cardstock that was trimmed slightly to allow the script to show through. Next I found this fun beachy cut file in the Silhouette design store and cut it out on a piece of the Pineapple Crush Sun chaser pattern paper. I just love the ombre color design on the pattern paper. The cut file design cut my pattern paper into 3 concentric circles. I was playing around with the design and flipped that middle circle and really loved the contrast it bought to the layout so I left it in reverse. I then adhered the outer and inner circles with pop dots for extra dimension and shadow.
Next I grabbed the Pineapple Crush Clear Stamp set and created a fun stamped subtitle for my page inside one of the wave designs. I mix and matched black, teal and mint ink for a touch of fun. I like how the different fonts and designs add an eclectic feel to my design.
I then added some pieces from the Ephemera pack and the Puffy Stickers pack to add interest, texture and color to the stamped design.
I adhered my four small 3 inch square photos, tucking them into the wave design and added in bits of ephemera to embellish the photos. I used one of the caaaute pineapple paper clips to hold that adventure word from the Ephemera pack and finished embellishing with that Bliss word. I added my journaling above the photos to complete my layout.
I just love the texture, dimension and shadows that is created by all of the elements on the page. It is such a happy and fun page it takes me right back to the beach.
Be sure t be on the look out for this yummy Pineapple Crush collection at your preferred scrapbook retailer. It really is such a refreshing take on a Summer collection!
